The Farmstand Is Closed for the Season!

JoRae and John · October 12, 2026

Well, just like that, the seasons are changing! With the snowstorm that moved in this weekend, it feels like Montana is reminding us that it’s time to wrap up another growing season. Our farmstand is officially closed for the year, and we have so much to be thankful for as we look back on this season.

First and foremost, thank you Helena, for making our first season at the farmstand such a wonderful experience! We weren’t quite sure what to expect when we opened the doors, but the excitement and support from our community have been incredible. It has been so much fun sharing the produce and flowers we grow right here on our farm, and we’re grateful to everyone who stopped by, spread the word, and supported our little family farm. You helped make all the hard work worthwhile!

Our goal with the farmstand was to create a simple way for people to enjoy fresh, locally grown produce and flowers whenever it was convenient for them. Seeing that idea come to life and watching the community embrace it has been one of the highlights of our year. We’ve learned a lot along the way, and we’re already thinking about what we can improve and add for next season!

For now, we’re trading the daily farmstand routine for the many end-of-season tasks that come with preparing a farm for winter. There is always plenty to do before the snow settles in, but there’s also something nice about slowing down a little, reflecting on the past season, and starting to dream about the next one. We’re already making plans for next year and are excited about what’s ahead!

The farmstand may be closed, but you can still find us at the Helena Farmers Market for the next few Saturdays, weather permitting. We’d love to see you there while the market season lasts!

As much as we love the long days, growing vegetables, harvesting flowers, and keeping everything moving during the summer, we’re learning to appreciate each season for what it brings. Winter gives us a chance to catch our breath, work on projects, and plan for another year of growing. And before we know it, we’ll be starting seeds and getting ready to do it all over again!

Thank you again for being part of our season and supporting our family farm. We truly appreciate this community and are so excited to keep growing with you. Enjoy the changing seasons, stay warm during the snowstorm, and we look forward to seeing you at the farmers market or back at the farmstand next year!
